ONLINE CONVERSION OF CYRILLIC NAMES

The Russian language is very different from Dutch, for example because of the Cyrillic script. This alphabet uses letters other than the Latin alphabet that we are used to. That makes it difficult to translate names of people from one language to another. For example, how do you write the place name Надым in Dutch? Or the name Леонід Вишеславський?

Transcriptor is an online tool developed by Pepijn Hendriks and Martin Reynaert, with an interface designed by De Taalmonsters. Transcriptor helps you to find the correct Dutch spelling of Russian names and words.
